In the space of 24 hours, Leonidas distributed 112383 digital stones on Bitcoin. Those with at least 3 registrations in the first year of the Ordinals protocol received a Runestone. <\/p>\n

It all began on January 22, 2024, when a number of Twitter users announced that they had received a mysterious digital artifact in their wallet. The project behind it was soon revealed: RSIC. <\/p>\n

Each artifact is then used to mine a token (the RSIC), which will be distributed once the 840000 block has been produced.<\/p>\n

Only, the question of distribution is a matter of debate within the Ordinals community. Some have received several, while others have received none (Symbole Art has received six – contact us if you’d like to buy one). <\/p>\n

So Leonidas<\/a> came up with Runestone, a project that would reward in a fair and equitable way all those who had participated in the development of the Ordinals community in the first year, while many decried the protocol.<\/p>\n

After 2 months’ work, and a remarkable intervention by French artist L\u00e9o Caillard<\/a> to create the stone, the 112383 Runestone are distributed between March 14 and 16, 2024.<\/p>\n
