Vintage sats are the satoshis mined in the first 1,000 blocks. So 50,000 alphas have been mined. But many of them are lost in the first blocks, where no transactions took place.  

Thus, only  2796 have circulated in the last four years,  and 1837 in the last 365 days. Today, only 286 have been isolated by collectors.
